Bioflex cold laser therapy treatment process

Laser therapy is a three-step process, all of which must be applied directly to the skin. The first part of the treatment is the Red Light therapy, which has been used for over a century to treat multiple conditions, ranging from Lupus to dermatological conditions like psoriasis. The second is Infrared Light, which is nearly invisible, but because of its long wavelength, it can penetrate through the skin to the deeper tissues of the body, giving it the potential to help patients who suffer from ailments caused by inflammation such as chronic pain and those with poor circulation. With both SLDs, the light is less coherent, thus not able to penetrate as far into tissue compare to lasers. That's why we top off the treatment with a laser probe; depending on the condition being treated, we will use either a Red light laser probe (for superficial conditions like arthritis or open wounds) or the Infrared light laser probe (for deeper issues like a muscle tear or  disk herniation).

Is BioFlex Laser Treatment Safe?
With evidence from the FDA, there are no negative side effects that arise from LILT. Typical medical imaging tests such as x-rays, UV light, gamma rays, LILT uses wavelengths that do not produce radiations. These wavelengths that come from LILT are selected carefully in order to ensure that there is no tissue damaging and it is safe for individuals with medical conditions. These medical conditions can include epilepsy, pacemakers or prosthetic.

Important Note: Please inform your laser therapist if you are taking any medications or supplements to increase photosensitivity or pregnant.

Description of Treatments
Treatments are usually scheduled 2-3 times a week or more frequently in acute cases, at least initially. Subsequent treatments are scheduled in accordance with the patient’s status. With regard to the number of treatment sessions, a minimum of 10-15 treatments is recommended. It is important to be aware that before treatment is initiated that the exact number of treatments cannot be predicted. In most cases, we expect to see major after 3-5 sessions. There are however exceptions to this rule. Acute injuries generally respond more rapidly than chronic problems and each individual’s tissue response varies. Please do not forget that our objective is to minimize the length of treatment and the number of visits. However, on occasion, even our best efforts require multiple treatments, patience and time.
